The poetry of author/poet Robert Birch ranges from serious to playful and from squeaky clean to downright dirty. This book falls into the latter categories . . . playful filth intended for adults only! Most of the poems in the book rhyme and follow a strict meter, and there are a couple pages of bawdy limericks. A bit of free verse finds its way in between the covers, but smut is best presented in the bounce of a metered rhyme. With poems titled Cruddy Whores and Swinging with Ron and Vicky, you know it will be X-rated. Oh, and then there is the nursery rhyme in which Old Mother Hubbard gets it on with the Seven Dwarfs and Mother Goose gets a bit kinky with Simple Simon, the pie man.
